Swiss dancer and choreographer Anna Huber has worked for close to three decades predominantly as a soloist. Her works are very specific encounters with live musicians and often architectural sites within which her highly individualistic work on form raise several questions around precision and perception. For the workshop in Chennai, through conversations that locate resonances between her practice and the Indian context, Anna will interrogate ideas of ‘interdiscipline’ and notions of the ‘authentic’ in performance. Cutting across all generic thinking around technique, these two weeks with Anna Huber will allow us an insight into the practice and workings of one of Europe’s most original and unique dance thinkers.
