Announcing awardees of Studio Residency 2018

Pro Helvetia New Delhi is delighted to announce the names of the South Asian and Swiss artists who have been selected by the jury to avail the Studio Residency it offers.

Gagan Singh / Visual Arts / South Asia
Julius Alam  / Visual Arts / South Asia

Shirana Shahbazi / Visual Arts / Switzerland
Marcel Zaes / Music / Switzerland
Stefan Keller / Music / Switzerland

The selection in South Asia was made by a jury comprising of Indian curator Latika Gupta, Odissi dancer, arts writer and co-founder of Dance Dialogues, Ranjana Dave and Head Pro Helvetia New Delhi, Chandrika Grover Ralleigh. The selection has been jointly agreed with Pro Helvetia’s specialist departments in Zurich.

Residencies provide the artist with dedicated time and space for creative work. Beyond this fundamental value, the studio residency offers the artist an opportunity to research, experiment and engage.
