Anuradha Pathak is an interactive/participatory installation artist and researcher with special focus on socially engaged art practices. She completed her masters in visual arts from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. Her installations are an attempt to explore, understand, and address the socio-political and psychological aspects of migrants/immigrants.
From 2010 onwards, she has preferred working on public/alternative spaces and has been involved in more community led art projects to bring about a change in the thought processes and understanding within the communities. She has been part of Centre for Arts and Social Practice (CASP) from its inception in 2013 and presently heads its Kolkata Chapter. She aims to see and work towards Nature Culture as interconnected modes of living and thinking, threaded to habitats and cultural memories. She is presently based in Kolkata, West Bengal and is developing transdisciplinary projects in the discourse of sustainability.
