About KreativKonsum
KreativKonsum comprises of Swiss product designers Carina Fischer and Lukas Baumgartner, who are based in Winterthur, Switzerland.
Carina and Lukas realise projects in the fields of product development, user centred design, game and educational design, scenographic design and graphics. They work on both commissioned products as well as on their own projects. They are very passionate about their work and enjoy the wide variety of procedures that are involved. In their own words, “Design, for us, means to get in contact with different people, materials, methods and challenges.” Sustainability, technological developments and humanity are constant parts of their design concepts. In their workshop in Winterthur they develop and construct models and prototypes and even manufacture complete products.
KreativKonsum spent a productive and intense few weeks at ROPE in India during the residency. Using ROPE’s skills in basket-making, KreativKonsum created their own designs, weaving special forms with banana bark using moulds. Prasanna from ROPE helped to translate their ideas to the artisans who wove the baskets.
