Comic art takes over a city:

The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art, in collaboration with Pro Helvetia New Delhi invites you to an interactive session with Jana Jakoubek, the artistic director of Fumetto Comic Festival Lucerne.

Jana is in India as part of a research residency, and on her first stop she will be at the FICA Reading Room. The presentation will be on this festival that, since 1992, has been dedicated to avant-garde comics that move across distinct art forms.

Following her presentation, there will be short responses from Ita Mehrotra and the BlueJackal to provide a context in which comic makers practice and disseminate their work in India today. Ita will also be sharing her experience of interning at the Fumetto Comic Festival in April 2018. Join us to participate in what we hope will be a lively discussion.
