As a response to Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code, which criminalises homosexuality in India, «Queen-Size» is a choreographic exploration of the intimacy between two men. The choreographer Mandeep Raikhy takes the audience straight to the most intimate place of love: the bedroom. Played out on a charpoy, a traditional Indian bed, the two dancers create a bodily, sensual argument in favour of love for everyone. The intimate encounter is made deliberately visible and «Queen-Size» thus poses questions about privacy and voyeurism.
