On view from the 5th of December 2016, until 29th of January 2017

A series of new works developed over a 3 month residency in India presented as a solo exhibition in the “Special Project Space” of the Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum:

Sea-Land / Mumbai
2016, Series of Drawings, pencil and watercolour on paper.
Terre-Mer (Sea-Land) is an ongoing research project about the movement of different coastal lines through time. The works exhibited in this show depict the zone in between the land and the sea along the coast of Mumbai, from the past to the possible future.

The Book of Possible Futures
Pages of a hypothetical Book of Possible Futures, with a series of watercolor drawings named “Temporal Maps”, and short texts in English and Marathi, inspired by discussions with Indian women on their hopes for the future. The work in this room is also based on research and documents from the Sparrow Archive – Sound and Picture Archives for Research on Women – based in Mumbai.
