In 1998, Fortunat Frölich was commissioned by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (BAK) to write the music for the official celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Swiss federal state, which premiered on the Bundesplatz in Bern. In 2003 he was musical director of the “Züri retour” project, a major event at Zurich main station, with which the canton of Grisons celebrated the 200th anniversary of its entry into the Swiss Confederation.

Frölich’s works have been made accessible in their entirety through a permanent depositum in the Grisons Cantonal Library and are published by various publishers, including Boosey&Hawkes, Swiss Music Edition and Edition Bündner Komponisten.
