Composer and musician Fortunat Frölich will be taking part in Panorama Editions 2023. Frölich’s collaborative piece “Composing in Dialogue” will be presented at the event from 3 November to 4 December 2023.
Fortunat Frölich trained as a cellist, singer and conductor at the music academies of Zurich, Naples and Leipzig. In his compositions, Fortunat Frölich uses a wide range of musical and stylistic means, which certainly corresponds to his own musical career, which has taken him to a wide variety of musical genres and also to other cultures.

In 1998, Fortunat Frölich was commissioned by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture (BAK) to write the music for the official celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Swiss federal state, which premiered on the Bundesplatz in Bern. In 2003 he was musical director of the “Züri retour” project, a major event at Zurich main station, with which the canton of Grisons celebrated the 200th anniversary of its entry into the Swiss Confederation.
Frölich’s works have been made accessible in their entirety through a permanent depositum in the Grisons Cantonal Library and are published by various publishers, including Boosey&Hawkes, Swiss Music Edition and Edition Bündner Komponisten.
In India, shortly before the onset of the covid pandemic, he launched the project Composing in Dialogue.
