For forty years Peter Rinderknecht, actor, director and author, has been one of the important personalities in theatre for young audiences in Switzerland. As the director of his company “Theater for a growing audience” he takes his plays all over the world. His open form of story telling creates a unique theatre world in which reality and fantasy merge.
Theatre artist Peter Rinderknecht will be in Bangladesh with “Minor Matters”, a story of departure, desires, hopes and disappointments.
Together with the audience, the narrator lets a farm emerge. Here once lived a farmer. He ordered the fields, fed the animals. He was satisfied. But then he thought there was something missing, so calm and orderly ran his life from morning to night. So he goes to his town on a Saturday evening. Here he meets the woman of his heart. When he founds a family with her, happiness seems perfect. But just as the idyll originates from nothingness, it finally breaks down again.
Author, actor and director Peter Rinderknecht has written, produced and acted in theatre for over 40 years. His works are principally for a young audience. Along with fellow theatre artists and musicians, he develops and performs his projects as “theatre for a growing public” in various languages both in Switzerland and at festivals worldwide. He has to date created more than 35 productions
