Expanded Education Programme at Students’ Biennale 2018
Pro Helvetia – Swiss Arts Council will be supporting the Expanded Education Programme of the third edition of the Students’ Biennale (SB), a Higher Education initiative of Kochi Biennale Foundation, in partnership with the Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA) and Foundation for Indian Art and Education (FIAE). The Education Programme is envisioned as a series of engagements with students and teachers to identify existing frameworks of learning across art colleges in India, and to imagine new directions in pedagogical practices within and around these institutions.
Pro Helvetia New Delhi is supporting the presence of two important international educators to participate in this programme – the Swiss art historian and curator, Dr. Federica Martini, who heads the Masters program at ECAV – Ecole Cantonale d’Art du Valais, Sierre in Geneva; and Rangoato Hlasane (Ra), a cultural worker, DJ, educator and co-founder of Keleketla! Library in Johannesburg. Federica and Ra will be joining other experienced artist-educators who will develop and offer a series of workshops at select arts colleges across the country.
