About the workshop:
An invitation for directors, choreographers, actors, technicians, aspiring lighting designers and anyone interested in understanding the basics of lighting. The workshop provides an introduction to theatre lighting for beginners. It will focus on aspects of lighting, such as angle, colour, temperature, mood and atmosphere and how these elements are used to create a lighting design. Both days are divided into theoretical and practical parts that invite discussion and participation.

About Sarah Buchel
Sarah Buchel is an engineer and production technician with several years of experience as a set builder, light designer and technical manager across dance, theatre, film and television. She has been the Technical Director at Verein Zimmerman & de Perrot in Zurich since 2013, holding roles in Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Dussdeldorf-Dulsburg and Schauspielhaus Zurich prior to that. Sarah has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Training Theatre from Schauspielhaus Zurich, and has studied event and production techniques at Berufsakademie Karlsruhe Germany.

Upcoming maintenance work
