Swiss Contemporary Dance Days 2017

This February, 19 Swiss contemporary dance companies will present their latest work in Geneva.
In the run-up to this celebration of contemporary dance, which is held every two years in a different Swiss city, a jury comprising five leading figures from the world of dance has watched more than 140 productions over the last 12 months. The winning entries will be presented at 12 venues across Geneva, which have joined forces especially for the occasion through the creation of an association and a small team.
From 1 – 4 February 2017
Host city: Geneva
The Swiss Contemporary Dance Days, which are also open to the public, are aimed at professionals – journalists, festival directors, programmers – from both Switzerland and abroad.
Two dancers from South Asia are visiting Switzerland this year to witness the performances on the invitation of Pro Helvetia New Delhi:
Parvathi Ramanathan, Projects Coordinator, GATI Dance Forum, INDIA
&
Kapila Palihawadana, Founder, Artistic Director and Choreographer of nAtanda, a dance festival in SRI LANKA.
The Swiss Contemporary Dance Days provides a tangible demonstration of the commitment to the art of choreography and dance in Switzerland.
